| It is our mission to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Great Danes, and to do everything possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. It is our intention to encourage members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club (AKC), and The Great Dane Club of America (GDCA) as the only standard of excellence by which the Great Dane should be judged. We strive to do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials. We conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and obedience trials under the rules put forth by the AKC, and generate publicity on any matter affecting the welfare of the breed. |
